Establishment and profile
In May 1992, in Rome, 11 taxi drivers signed an agreement to establish the Samarcanda Cooperative.
The selection of the name was no accident. The magnificent city of Samarkand symbolized the concept of the 11 original founders. Samarkand was known in antiquity as the “Rome of the East” and was a place of dreams and splendid voyages.
The Samarcanda Cooperative wishes to improve travel and travel toward improvement. Our logo is an albatross flying toward the horizon. We put everything we have into improving our service.
Today Samarcanda’s business structure is customer-oriented. Our partners participate fully in the management process, which produces greater knowledge and awareness, leading to a professionalism that is not imposed but chosen.
Company effort and attention to the environment testify to our standard of quality. Quality that travels by taxi!
